We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2021, at the age of 97, Joan Hoatson of Burr Ridge, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Valdimar J. Roehler and Madelyn K. Roehler; her husband James R. Hoatson, Jr.; and her daughter Madelyn H. Crowe. She is survived by: her daughters, Katherine H. Gullaksen (Dan) and Cornelia H. Mihelich (Frank); her grandchildren, Dana K. Gullaksen, Erin G. Coomer (Greg), John J. Gullaksen (Tiffany), Ramsey W. Crowe (Megan), Elliott R. Crowe, Caitlin C. Velasquez (Darrin) and Sophia C. Snider (Jarred); her great grandchildren, Leif A. Coomer, Loren R. Coomer, Samuel E. Crowe and Jasper Snider; and her sister Lynne Petersen.
