It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Ambler of Burnside, Illinois, born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on January 15, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, F. W. Ambler and Dorothy Ambler (Emerson); his wife Kathryn Emerson; and his siblings, Sharon Bock and Phil Ambler.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Kleopfer (Steve) of Carthage, Nancy Klopfenstein (Joe) of Corvallis and Craig Ambler of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Sara King (Kory), Sandra Kleopfer, Samantha Sparks (Erie), Andrew Thomas Klopfenstein and John Emerson Klopfenstein; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ashton King, Bentley Thomas, Willow Kathryn Fisher, Jackson, Gracyn Whitaker, Jason and Stephen Sparks; his brother Dave Ambler (Mary Kate) of Kansas; and his sister-in-law Linda Depew. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice or the First Christian Church (DOC) in Carthage.
