He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Thomas and Goldie Thomas (Siegfried); his daughter Teresa Thomas of Burnside, IL; and his siblings, Lloyd Thomas, Wayne "Slim" Thomas, Vernon "Spud" Thomas, Keith "Smokie" Thomas, Thelma "Chub" Ballinger, Byard "Bub" Thomas and Joann "Toe head" Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Thomas of Burlington, IA; his grandchildren, Andrew Thomas-Lafferty of Burlington, IA, Luke Thomas of Dallas City, IL and Laura Thomas of Carthage, IL; and his great grandchildren, Zak Thomas, Lillie Thomas and Arlo Thomas.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burnside Christian Church (2088 E Co Rd 2110, Burnside, IL 62330). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at the Thornber Cemetery (2201-2253 N Co Rd 1200, Dallas City, IL 62330).
Memorials may be made out to the Carthage VFW or The Eagles Club in Carthage.
