With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris J. Pope of Burnside, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 20, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Hodous and Ann Langer Hodous; her husband W. Mack Pope; and her daughter-in-law Debbie Pope. She is survived by: her son Terry Pope (Gayle) of Burnside, IL; her grandchildren, Hannah Whitaker (Shawn), Lydia Ahrens (Todd) of Hannibal, MO, Rebecca Sommer (Mike) of Bloomington, IL and Micah Pope (Johanna) of Champaign, IL; and her stepgranddaughters, Amy Olsen-Highness (Tyler) and Danielle Jennings (Dan) of Columbia, MO. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; a sister.

Memorials may be given to Hancock County 4-H Foundation, Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Hancock County Farm Bureau Foundation.
