Dennis Pettit Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2020, at the age of 81, Dennis Pettit of Burnside, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Pettit and Janice Pettit; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Pettit and Clarence Shults. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his siblings, Diana and David; his sister-in-law Sandi Soland; his children, Betsy Hudson (Brad) of Springfield, IL, Steve (Julie) of Acworth, GA, Mark (Nancy), Melissa Diel (Brian) of St. Charles, MO and James (Tara) of Urbandale, IA.; his grandchildren, Gabriel Pettit (Cori), Bethany Middleton (Zach), Jeffrey Pettit (Ashley), Kara Blomendahl (Shane), Joshua Diel (Krystal), Justin Pettit (Alina), Courtney Diel, Alison Lox (Brian), Steven Diel (Claudia), David Hudson, Michael Hudson, Zachary Diel (Kayla), Leanne Tchakounte (Ruffin) and Katie Hudson; his great grandchildren, Carter, Drake, Ashlyn, Reegan, Madelyn, Sadie, Lincoln, Eleanor, Josiah Pettit, Elijah, Charlotte, Julius Middleton, Margaret Blomendahl, Dawson, Eastlyn, Finley Lox, Quinn, Wren, Sawyer Diel and Aaden Tchakounte; and also, Mark and Luke Burling. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren, and innumerable friends.
