He was predeceased by: his parents, John Neisendorf and Grace Neisendorf (Birkeneder); his wife Betty; and his siblings, Mary Eder, Helen Strausberger, Fran Koenig, Babs Barsic and John Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Bev Thies (Louie), Rick (Judi), Daniel "Boomer" (Peg), David (Pam), Tom (Jody), Tim (Peg) and Dean "Farmer" (Jenny); his grandchildren, Samantha Thies, Andrea (Paul), Courtney, Alyson Shipley (John), Abby Marshall (Kevin), Amber Nolan (Andrew), Adam, Rachel, Jacob, Mary, Erin, Jill, Danielle and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Raven, Brandon, Harper, William, Ava and Grace; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Priwer (late Louis) and Barb Pinion (Eric); and his friend Greg Coleman. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
