He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas DeFoe and Lillian DeFoe (Kiley); and his siblings, Dan and Yvonne. He is survived by: his children, Jerry DeFoe Jr. (Selena), Cathy Billig (Jeff) and Jennie Coons (Mark); his grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Hanna, Blake, Devon, Corbin, Connor and Kylie; his great grandchildren, Cailin, Ty, Brooke, Myles, Oliver and Link; his partner's child Jody Lund (Spencer); his siblings, Jim, Joan, Tom, Rich and Steve; and his pet Gabbie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Congregational Church of Bureau (101 W Nebraska St, Bureau Junction, IL 61315). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Bureau County Fair or Gateway Services in memory of Gerald.
