He was predeceased by: his wife Therese Ballard; his daughter Marian Ballard; and his brothers, Edward (late Lou), Robert (late Doris) and Charles (late Charlotte).
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Ballard (late Janice), Kathleen Richardson (James), Patrick Gleason (Cindy), Michael Gleason (Stacey), Elizabeth Bennett (Rick), Susan Haynie (Peter) and Christopher Ballard (Roseanne).
