He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Barnaby and Mildred Barnaby (Townsend); and his siblings, Eugene Barnaby (Ellen), James Barnaby (Bonnie), Birdice Morel (Alex), Mary Cook (Robert) and Betty Allen (Gene).
He is survived by: his children, Julie Anne Berkowicz (Walter), David F. Barnaby and Lisa M. Barnaby (Richard Klootwyk); and his grandsons, Walter A. Berkowicz III, Paul M. Berkowicz and Marc A. Berkowicz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of David may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
