It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bartel A. Amato of Burbank, Illinois, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Bartel may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Angeline; and his brother Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Frances "Chickie"; his children, Joseph Theresa (Kathryn) and Kimberly; his granddaughters, Emily, Madeline and Elizabeth; and his brother Paul (Nicholette).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Albert the Great Church (8000 Linder Ave, Burbank, IL 60459). A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (8700 S Hamlin Ave, Chicago, IL 60652).
