It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merna L. Buhs of Bunker Hill, Illinois, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merna L. Buhs to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Fite and Gladys Hackney Fite; her husband Melvin Buhs; her daughter-in-law Terry (Cathy Buhs); and her siblings, Edna Mae Strohbeck, Thelma Schoeneman, Esther "Pud" Taggart, Dorothy "Cookie" Strohbeck, Verna Kahl and John "Jack" Fite.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Buhs (Steph) of Bunker Hill, IL; and her grandchildren, Matt Buhs (Nancy), Adam Buhs (Wylie), Kile Buhs (Angie), Karrie Stahl (Donnie) and Klayton Buhs (Brooke). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kravanya Funeral Home (875 S Washington St, Bunker Hill, IL 62014). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Woodburn Bible Church.
