He was predeceased by: his grandson Harrison Sear; his father Harry Pinzur; and his father-in-law Arthur Silverberg. He is survived by: his wife Susanne "Susie" Pinzur; his children, Geri Pinzur Rosenberg, Jamie Manewith (Bradley) and Carly Sear (Stephen); his grandchildren, Norah, Lilah Rosenberg, Hallie, Eli Manewith, Brayden and Easton; his mother Idele Pinzur; his mother-in-law Frances; his brothers, Dr. Michael Pinzur (Debora) and Neil Pinzur; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Silverberg (Janet), Annette Roth (William Olson) and Barbara Pinzur.
