He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Near and Sally Near; his sister Joyce Jill Near; and his nephew Michael Rosenthal (Laurie). He is survived by: his brothers, Bill Near (Diane) and Carl Rosenthal (late Geraldine); his nieces and nephews, Shlomo Near (Eitana), Stephanie Field (Kusi), Yehoshua Near (Beca) and Marcia Kaye (Steven); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lital, Ayelet, Amalya, Leah, Deena, Dovid, Kayla, Shmuel, Brian, Jason and Dylan.
