He is survived by: his spouse Ilana; his children, Dr. Mark Shermer (Tami), Dr. Laura Zaacks (Stephen) and Steven Shermer (Alison); and his grandchildren, Jared (Caroline), Jacob, Jordan Shermer, Joshua, Sonia Zaacks, Eli and Zachary Shermer.
