He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy and Thomas; and his brother Tom. He is survived by: his wife Donna; his sons, Tom (Mary Kay), Dan (Renee), John (Amy), Michael (Brooke) and David (Kristen); and his sister Sheila Cook. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
