He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Philip Barry and Dorothy Barry; his wife Cynthia L. Barry; his children, Shannon Desmond (Michael), Shawn Barry, Meredith Foscato (Andrew) and Kendra Barry; his grandchildren, Tyler Flood, Colin Flood, Carter Flood, Hadley Barry, Peyton Foscato, Tegan Foscato, Mackenzie Barry, Brady Desmond and Avery Desmond; and his sister Sharon Orchell. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glueckert Funeral Home (1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
