He was predeceased by: his son Jake Ottenstein; his parents, Harold Ottenstein and Ruth Ottenstein; and his brothers, Donald Ottenstein (late Rosemary) and Robert Ottenstein.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his child Zack Ottenstein; and his sister-in-law Roberta Rosenthal.
