He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Chern; and his parents, Norman Chern and Ruth Chern. He is survived by: his sons, Adam Chern (Rebecca Kemble), Kevin Chern (Laura Hyland) and Eric Chern (Laurie Chern); his grandchildren, Ndegwa, Kibuna, Hannah, Izzy, Sully, Dylan, Jane and Ari; and his wife Karen Chern.
A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Max and Benny's Restaurant (461 Waukegan Rd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
