We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2022, at the age of 94, Janina A. Gorka of Buffalo Grove, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard W. Gorka; her sister Mary Daniel; and her parents, John Jakobsze and Ursula Jakobsze. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Peters (Michael), Anne Marie Calderon and Leonard Gorka; her grandchildren, Andrew Peters (Heather), Justin, Devin, Brandon and Joshua Gorka; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Stella and Brantley Peters; and her siblings, Sophie Cichon and Stanley Jakobsze.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Janina's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hope Foundation Journey Care Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
