He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Mae and Edwin. He is survived by: his wife Shari Smith Johnson; his children, Andrew Emile [Nickeda] Johnson and Caitlin Ann Johnson; his siblings, Edmund Johnson, Gerard Johnson, Marian Johnson-Thompson [Charles], Emilie Robinson and Eleanor Haynes-Beavers; his grandchildren, Carter and Kayden Johnson; and his brother-in-law Derrick Smith. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

Due to travel logistics and Covid-19 precautions the family will not be receiving visitors at the home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that as a memorial to honor Emile Johnson, gifts & expressions be made to either: Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Chicago, https://www.catholiccharities.net -or- Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

“Emile was my first manager at Abbott Nutrition (Ross Products) in 2000. He was incredible! I spent much time at the home office and out at customers and stores with him. His huge smile and big laugh was a staple of much of our time together. He made everyone around him feel special. I checked in with Emile a couple times through the years, wish we would have connected more. Thoughts and prayers to his family who he shared many stories about during our times working together. -Tom Chouinard”
