He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Carmen De Leon; his children, Betsy Cotto (Luis), Aldwin De Leon and Herbert De Leon; his grandchildren, Adam McClain (Priscila), Marlyn Orozco (Jonathan) and Ivelisse Cotto; and his great grandchild Ariel Orozco.
