He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Meyer and Joyce Meyer (Barnes) of Brussels; his wife Ellen Rea; his sons, Christopher Meyer (Maggie) of Batchtown and Patrick Meyer (Ellyn) of Springfield, IL.; his siblings, Doug Meyer of Jerseyville, Rose Wreath (John) of Brussels, Donna Steppan of Brussels and Mary Titus (Henry) of Rosewood Heights, IL; his nieces, Sarah Zumberi (Florent) of Palatine, IL, Amy Meyer (Jason Steckel) of Jerseyville, Karenrose Steppan of Orlando, FL, Nicole Meszaros (Zachary) of Wood River, IL and Michelle Yenne (Kyle) of Godfrey, IL.; his brother David Meyer; and his sister-in-law Kim Meyer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Brussels (145 Community Ave, Brussels, IL 62013). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cresswell Cemetery.
