He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elbert "Shorty" and Marie Evelyn Hipsher (Largent); his wife Daisy Hipsher; his in-laws, Matthew and Mae Ludens; his son-in-law David Utley; his siblings, Alvin Hipsher (Marie) and Wilma (Harmon Kelly); and his brother-in-law Dan Palecek.
He is survived by: his children, Kristi Utley, Jason Hipsher (Kelly) and Tiffany Hipsher of Brownstown; his siblings, Ronnie Hipsher (Jeannie) of New Berlin, IL, Robert Hipsher (Sandy) of Creve Coeur, IL, George Hipsher (Beverly) of Vandalia, David Hipsher (Vicki) of Brownstown and Judy Palecek of Brownstown; and his grandchildren, Amber Santmyer, Nathaniel Utley, Matthew Utley, Blake Hipsher, Dathan Hipsher, Landon Hipsher, Cameron Kirby, Sophia Kirby and Meadow Kirby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Fayette County Cancer Fund or the First Christian Church of Brownstown.
