It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darel E. Sidwell of Brownstown, Illinois, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darel E. Sidwell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie'Doc' Sidwell and Mildred Bertha Sidwell (Harre); his stepdaughter Lynn Ann Wright; his brother Paul Sidwell; and his grandson Jeffrey Allen Sidwell.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Sidwell (Nikki), Greg Sidwell (Debbie), Darrel E. Sidwell II (Michelle) of Cibolo, TX and Jill Wright (Maurice Wilson); his grandchildren, Carrie Sidwell, Ryan Sidwell (Ketra), Sherry Sidwell, Breann Thomason, Salem, Josh Sidwell (Tasha) and Jake Cook of Vandalia; and his stepgranddaughter Amanda Banister (Brian). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gieseking Funeral Home (100 Douglas Drive, Brownstown, IL 62418). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
