We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2024, at the age of 89, Mary Lou Stanton of Broughton, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Cummings and Rachel Cummings; her husband Billy Dean Stanton; her children, John Pruitt and Patsy VanEpps; and her siblings, Bonnie Cummings, Myrtle Sigler, Velda Iverson, Mickey Cummings, Tommy Cummings and Johnny Ray Cummings.
She is survived by: her children, Pauline Pruitt, Peggy Pruitt, Ernie Stanton and Kathleen Howland; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Pruitt; and her siblings, Jerry Cummings, Russell Cummings (Diane), Michael Cummings (Jeannie), Carol Shepard and Betty Henry. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gholson Funeral Home- McLeansboro (500 S Washington St, McLeansboro, IL 62859). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
