He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Short and Plumadell Short (Vanwinkle); his son Brent Lee Short; and his brothers, Kenneth and Carl Short.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Short of Broughton, IL; his son Doyle Bradley Short; his grandchildren, Braden Lee and Hailey Nicole Short; and his great grandchildren, Braylen Short and Berkley Short.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John Doyle's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, who is in charge of arrangements.
