He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Griswold and Mary Griswold (Cantrell); and his sisters, Helen Starr (Griswold) of Phoenix, AZ and Alice Tedford (Griswold) of McLeansboro, IL.. He is survived by: his wife Esther Griswold (Essary); his children, MaDonna Joan Griswold of Temple, TX and Robert Vernon Griswold of San Angelo, TX; his grandchildren, Carrie (Matthew Wiggins), Steve Cordell of Marion, KY, Kelly (Ryan Schable) and Melissa (John Potts); and his great grandchildren, Dillon Wiggins, Lillian Potts, Braden Wiggins, Reeve Potts, Liam Wiggins, Hannah Schable and Ethan Schable. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
