She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Strong; her daughter Janet Marie Strong; her parents, Revie Shannon Sr. and Susie Hamilton Shannon; her son James E. Strong Jr. (Michelle Pugh) of Brookport, Illinois; and her siblings, Rosie Maxine Wade, Freda Baker, Mary Louise Shannon, Revie Shannon, Jr., Charles Shannon, David Shannon, William Andrew Shannon and Versie Shannon.
She is survived by: her children, Versie L. Shannon (Tammy) of Racine, Derek D. Strong (Renita) of Paducah, Jeffrey L. Strong (Rosalind Battie) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Michael S. Strong of Atlanta and Sheila A. Lacey (Clinton) of Upper Marlboro; her grandchildren, Sophia Payne (Carson), Shareeka Goff, Versie Shannon, Jr., Derek Strong II, Darrin Strong, Shamika Rhodes (Jherail), Aleyah Strong, Brandon Evans (Kaylie), Landon Starkey, Christian Starkey, Archie James Lacey, Olivia Strong, Jamie Marie Strong, Chesleigh Pugh and Kolbie Baird; and her siblings, Marie Jones of Racine, Gloria Ann Shannon and Lanfort Shannon of Brookport, Illinois.
