It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Owens of Brookport, Illinois, born in Athens, Alabama, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Owens and Truman Owens (Butler); his son Michael Owens; and his siblings, Jeannie Owens, Arthur Owens, Truman Owens, Dale Owens and Steve Owens.
He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Owens; his grandchildren, Michael Cruz Owens, Kasen Hale, Westin Hale, Zoey Bray and Olivia Owens; and his siblings, Vickie Goode (Sam), Cindy Mulder (Dave), Judy Lyles (Buddy) and Raymond Owens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
