He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis Wetherington and Velma Wetherington (Crosier); his wife Martha Wetherington; his grandson Cory Wetherington; and his siblings, Louis Wayne Wetherington, Richard Wetherington, Raymond Wetherington and Rosalee Wetherington.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wetherington (Kathy) of Metropolis, Michael Wetherington (Susan) of Carterville, IL, Roger Wetherington (Melissa) of Mayfield, KY and John Wetherington; his grandchildren, Brandon Wetherington, Blake Wetherington (Jasmine Nguyen), Brady Wetherington (Ellie), Gracie Wetherington (Jordan Cobb) and Faith Wetherington; his great grandchild Hayden Wetherington; and his siblings, Helen Bradley of Fairfield, IL and Robert Wetherington (Judy) of Brookport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home (7742 S US 45 Rd, Brookport, IL 62910). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
