He was predeceased by: his wife Naomi Burkhart Ellis; his parents, Cecil "Jack" Ellis and Mary Frances Neal Ellis; and his siblings, Ann Yearout, Helen Benson, Bernard Ellis and Morris Ellis.
He is survived by: his sister Juanita Jo Brackett; and his children, Candy Yearout, Glen Ellis and Carla Gough. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
