With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johnny Lee Klaffer of Brookport, Illinois, born in Paducah, Kentucky, who passed away on June 3, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Arnold" Klaffer and Mary Klaffer; his granddaughter Olivia Dunmire; and his siblings, Jerry Klaffer, Janie Beshears and Joyce Allen.

He is survived by: his wife Melinda; his daughters, Jerrye Myrick (Nick) of Brookport and Sarah Bennett (Frank) of Paducah; his grandchildren, Allyson, Isabelle Myrick of Brookport, Ella and Bryce Vandermeulen of Paducah; and his siblings, Jimmy Klaffer (Patti) of Rock Hill and Julia "Judy" Fitch (Bill) of Brookport. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookport First Baptist Church.
