While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Slaughter (Meeks); and his stepfather F. P. Slaughter. He is survived by: his brother David Slaughter; his close friend Annie Sweeney; his grandchildren, Cali Sweeney of Selena Sweeney, S. J and Michael Hamby; and also, Billy Hamby, Josh Sweeney and Scott Sweeney.
