He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Windhorst and Amanda Windhorst (Meinders); his wife Irene Genevie Windhorst (Flick); and his siblings, Alberta Riepe and Elmer Windhorst.
He is survived by: his children, William Ray Windhorst (Karla) of Metropolis, Teresa Lynn Klaffer (Jack) of Brookport, Everett Dale Windhorst (Sharon) of Monte Vista, CO and Wilma Jane Windhorst (Russell Cloud) of Brookport; his grandchildren, Heather McGinnis (Myron), Jonathon Windhorst, Casey Windhorst (Rachel Boone), Justin Klaffer, Matthew Klaffer (Sam Jaco), Emily Windhorst and Brandon Dukes; his granddaughters-in-law, Jennifer McCulloch and Julie Klaffer; his great grandchildren, Rebecca, Carter, Piper, Hylea McGinnis, Madelyn Windhorst, Ava "Gracie" Windhorst, Andrew Klaffer, Amber Klaffer and J. T. Klaffer; and his brothers, Roy Windhorst of St. Louis, MO, Loren Windhorst (Grace) of Vernon Hills, IL and Jerry Windhorst (Linda) of Metropolis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
