It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Atwood of Brookport, Illinois, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Michael Shirley and Scott Shirley; and her parents, Leo J. Shirley and Bernice W. Eastham Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Jesse Newton Atwood; her children, Jennifer Lynn Atwood of Brookport, Illinois and Jesse Duane Atwood of Brookport, Illinois; and her siblings, Rhonda Dye of Brookport, Illinois, Dennis Shirley of Metropolis and Robert 'Bobby D. Shirley of Aurora, Kentucky. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
