She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Gage; her parents, Franklin Ebersol and Elsie Read (Schroeder); her brothers, Linn Read and Robert "Bob" of Grand Ridge, IL.; and her sister-in-law Doris Gage of Grand Ridge, IL..
She is survived by: her children, Bruce (Cheryl) and Laurie Ann; her grandchildren, David Gage (Kelly Zachary) of Marseilles and Karie Stecken (Dan); her great grandchildren, Camryn and Costner Stecken of Seneca; her sister Joy Christie (John) of Ottawa; her sister-in-law Melva Gage Madsen (Edgar) of Princeton, NJ; her nieces and nephews, Curt Read (Lori Stevenson) of Plano, Brian Christie (Beth) of Cedar Lake, IN, Allison Mueller (Mike) of Crystal Lake, IL, Reg Gage (Janet) of Plainfield, IL, Linda Fluty (Brian) of Bloomington, IL and Duane Gage (Cathy) of Beeville, TX; and her great-niece Diana "Butter" Windy (Gary) of Ottawa.
During the pandemic, she read over 100 books and enjoyed "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" on television.
