In the sacred silence of farewell, Karen is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Karen's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Raymond F. Pouliot and Edward Orszula; and her sibling Gail Speer. She is survived by: her stepson Daniel R. Pouliot (Kaitlyn R.); her sisters, Marcia Smith and Doris McCann (Bob); and her siblings-in-law, Pat Meschi and Gene Pouliot. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. (9445 31st St, Brookfield, IL 60513). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Barbara Church (4000 Prairie Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513). A Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at 9300 47th St, Brookfield, IL 60513. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458).
