Julius Kaplan D. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julius Kaplan D. (Brookfield, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kaplan and Emilia Kaplan; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his wife Rozalia; his children, John-Paul (Lauren) and Anne Marie Petros (James); his granddaughters, Ella Grace and Josie Rose; his godson Martin Bednar; his siblings-in-law, Stan Pokojny (Krystyna) and Olga Kaplan; his goddaughter Monica Smuda (Chris); and also, CJ, Tyler and Joey.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, July 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd. (9445 31st St, Brookfield, IL 60513). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 18th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Louise de Marillac Church (1144 Harrison Ave, La Grange Park, IL 60526). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Louise de Marillac Church (1144 Harrison Ave, La Grange Park, IL 60526). A burial was held on Thursday, July 18th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
He served in leadership positions at Rainbow Hospice, on the Ethics Board of Resurrection Hospital, and with the American Cancer Society.
