He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sandra Nowakowski; his children, Kevin Nowakowski (Tanya), Kimberly Monahan (Daniel) and Pamela Fegan (John); his grandchildren, Patrick, Cora, Leah, Easton, Marty, Emily, Will and Nora; and his brothers, Michael Nowakowski (Diane) and Gregory Nowakowski (late Sue). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services (9445 31st St, Brookfield, IL 60513). A Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
