David Noble Ewing Obituary

David Noble Ewing, 98, of Brocton, IL, passed peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of December 22, 2023, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL.

David is survived by his daughter: Carol Kelly (Arthur Gleckler) of Brocton, IL; a son: James Ewing of Oakland, IL; special friend Sandra King; two grandsons: William Sean Pearcy (Celeste) and Jesse Ryan Ewing (Emily); and two great grandsons: Jordan Ewing and Reed Ewing. He is also survived by a nephew: Stephen Ewing (Shirley) of Temple, TX; several cousins, and a host of friends.

Mr. Ewing was a farmer all his life and shared his life with his wife, Delorma Hawkins Ewing, who preceded him in death. He was a member of the Brocton Christian Church, Pleasant Hill Christian church, and 80-year member of the Ainad Shriners of Southern Illinois and Danville, IL Consistory.

David was raised in Paris IL, by his parents Shelby Ewing and Stella Ewing, along with one brother, Joseph Ewing.

A celebration of life will be held on January 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland.
