He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hamilton and Beulah Hamilton (Rimmer); his son Larry Woodley; and his siblings, Don, Harold, Kenneth Hamilton, Patsy Hackward and Charlotte McIver.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Woodley; his children, Cathy Hamilton of Peoria, Lois Zaremba of East Peoria, Rod Hamilton (Kim) of Peoria, Ben Hamilton (Chris) of Dunlap, Karla Dickson (Matt) of East Peoria and Sally Opper-Hosking (Keith) of Washington; his grandchildren, Jennifer Mills (Jeremy), Jonathan Monser (Ivonne), Jacob Featherston (Amy), Greg Featherston (Kaysi), Tiffanie McNeese, Nichole Martin, Rod Hamilton Jr., Randy Hamilton (Tina), Shawneen Hamilton, Shane Hamilton, Nate Hamilton (Alaina), Cody Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton, Kaylee Dickson (Justin Dirks), Alexandria Dickson, Natalie Dickson (Richard Cowser), Elizabeth Opper, Connor Hosking, Reece Hosking, Lisa Woodley, Larry Woodley Jr., Melissa Woodley and Christina Woodley; and his sister Sharon Morrow (Roger) of Groveland. He is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren.
