He is survived by: his son Dale Whitaker of Godfrey; his children-in-law, Diana Whitaker of Godfrey and Beth Whitaker of Wood River; his grandchildren, Tia and Alicia; his great grandchildren, Shane, Hunter, Adeline and Lucille; his sister Alice Thaxton of St Charles, MO.; and also, Sheila and Mike Hess-Whitaker of Alton.
