He is survived by: his wife Norma Short; and his children, Ronald Short, Gail, Dennis Nickle, Dawn Short Derousse, Shelly Short, John Short, Belinda Blevens, Joe, Patricia Roberts, Annette, Mike Delehanty and Felicia Doyle. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
