He was predeceased by: his parents, Laverne Watson and Arlene Watson (Heyen); and his sister Wanda Watson. He is survived by: his wife Julia Hughes; his children, Dale Watson of Brighton, IL, Jeffrey Watson (Amy) of Brighton, IL, Linda Patterson (Sean) of Independence, OH and Jennifer Watson-Gushleff (Chris) of Brighton, IL; his grandchildren, Shaun, Korin, Joel, Joseph, Johnathan, Laura, Seth, Sasha, Kevin and Melinda; and his great grandchildren, Joiee and Adelyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Family Funeral Home (501 W Center St, Brighton, IL 62012). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Brighton Cemetery.
