James left this world on April 8, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gradie Fulks-Barrish and James Potter; his former wife Brenda Long; and his brothers, Randall and Donald Barrish.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Milligan; his children, Jim Jr. Barrish (Karol) of East Alton, Jason Barrish of Portage, IN and Janice Flint (Chris) of Alton; and his stepdaughters, April Rhyne (Terry) of Bunker Hill and Autumn Karotko (Michael) of Eagle, ID. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Anderson Family Funeral Home (501 W Center St, Brighton, IL 62012). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Brighton Betsey Ann Fire Protection District.
