She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Burns and Haiti Burns (Richardson); her husband William Murel Grogan; and her children, Florence Mitchell (Bud) and Dale Grogan.
She is survived by: her former husband Bernard Lee Spurgeon; her children, Mary Lou Grant (John) of Brighton, Nancy Mundy (Bill) of Hettick, Vicki Dobbs of Shipman, Teresa Conlee (Randy) of Bunker Hill, Richard Spurgeon (Cindy) of Grafton and John Spurgeon of Thayer; her daughter-in-law Shelly Grogan of Branson, MO; and her siblings, Opal Vineyard, Mae Pilkenton, Charlie Burns, Elmer Burns, Ray Burns and Pansy Shrum. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren.
