He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Long and Grace Long (Butler); his sisters, Slyvia Barnes (Art) and Alberta Camerer (Sonny); his siblings-in-law, Bettie Hamblem (Bert) and Leon Jackson; and his nieces and nephews, Gary Camerer, Larry Barnes, Jack Barnes, Debbie Barnes and Kathie Hamblem.
He is survived by: his wife Linda "Sue" (Battershell); his daughters, Becky Kurdziel (Robert) of East Alton, IL and Julie Warren (John) of Rogers, AR; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Alexander Jr. (Rachael Swift) of Brighton, IL and Abby Millitello (Sam) of New Berlin, IL; his great grandchildren, Delhia Alexander, Hayzel Alexander, Isla Alexander, Etta Alexander, Spencer Millitello and Isabel Millitello; and his sister-in-law Bona Jackson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His wishes were to be donated to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO for research.
