He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Grandpa Dick" Thaxton and Cathleen "Kay" Thaxton (Walter); and his sister Angela Thaxton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Schreieck; his daughters, Sarah Vail (Calvin) of Brighton and Jessi Ashburn (John) of Medora; his granddaughters, Alexis Kay Allen, Jaiden Kaye Thaxton and Zoey Kaelynn Ashburn; his siblings, Rhonda Maddox (Buddy), George "Ricky" Thaxton and Daniel Thaxton; and his siblings-in-law, Terri Palmieri, Roseann Hiebert, Bonnie McGuire (James) and Matthew Schreieck. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
