With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clarence Schmidt (Brighton, Illinois), born in Portage des Sioux, Missouri, who passed away on January 8, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth M. Schmidt; his parents, William Schmidt and Florence Schmidt; and his siblings, Marian Eisenreich, Bernice Deen, Laverne Stovich, Florita Witthaus, Raymond Schmidt, Lawrence Schmidt and Melvin Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Hopkins (Lyman), Dennis Schmidt (Kathi), Kathy Grotegeers (Glenn) and Judy Lee (Nathan); his grandchildren, Steve, Lauri, Danny, Shauna, Brian, Scott, Glenn, Jr., Ann, Michelle and Gina; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Gabrielle, Dylan, Mason and Megan; his great great grandchildren, Layla, Aubrey and Roman; and his brother Willis Schmidt.
Memorial contributions may be made in Clarence's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
