She was predeceased by: her spouse Naim Halawa; and her siblings, Julia Kassis (late Husam) and Jihad Sihweil (Madelein). She is survived by: her children, Abdo Halawa (Lena) and Amanda Mahdi (Munief); her grandchildren, Jennah Halawa, Jenan Halawa, Amira Mahdi, Naim Halawa and Habib Mahdi; and her siblings, Kareem Suhweil (late Latifa), Suhaila Sawalha (late Samir) and Hiam Shihadeh (late Issa).
